The itinerary is designed for intermediate level cyclists: not suitable for a first experience in gravel, but also not reserved for those who train continuously on a weekly basis. The routes are designed to be balanced, with average elevation changes progressively distributed throughout the days. A good level of general training and physical condition is recommended.
Departure from Florence on secondary roads with a gradual introduction of dirt sections. The route enters the Chianti area with regular climbs. Crossing hilly areas cultivated with vineyards and olive groves, arrival in Gaiole.
Shorter stage on secondary roads and compact dirt sections. Less urbanized areas of Chianti, undulating elevation profile. Gradual descent towards the Murlo area.
Stage with the greatest elevation gain. Crete Senesi with white roads, clayey ground, and longer climbs. Alternation of exposed sections and valley sections, on dirt.
Final stage on mixed terrain with regular climbs and a gradual approach to Siena. Crossing of Castelnuovo Berardenga and arrival in the city.

Reserved for well-prepared athletes seeking a challenge. Characterized by sometimes steep gradients, technical sections, unstable surfaces and long distances. You need to be able to walk up to 7 hours with a backpack or cycle up to 130 km in a day. Requires excellent physical endurance, perfect knowledge of your equipment and the ability to adapt in often isolated or harsh environments.
